We sat down with our Cosmetic Nurse, Elizabeth, to talk about all things beauty and cosmetic injectables. Elizabeth has been working as a Cosmetic Nurse for over 8 years, specialising in Dermal Fillers, Anti-Wrinkle injections, Lipodissolve, PRP Vampire Facials and Beauty Boosters. How did you get into the beauty industry?

I've always been passionate about the beauty industry, but it wasn't until I was stood down from my job as a flight manager (due to Covid-19) that I decided to pursue it full-time. I met a Plastic Surgeon on one of my flights who invited me to assist in his cosmetic clinics in Bangkok and LA. I fell in love with cosmetic injectables right away.

Being stood down ended up being a blessing in disguise as it catapulted me into the world of beauty. I began working full-time in the cosmetics industry and took every opportunity to advance my training and education. 

I haven't looked back since!

What inspired you to become a Cosmetic Nurse?

I've always been fascinated with beauty treatments and skincare - Cosmetic Nursing has enabled me to turn that passion into a career. I love that I get to spend my days empowering others to feel good about themselves. It's truly an honour to be part of that process.

Do you have a favourite concern to work on?

I love working with my clients on their skin health. Minimising the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, pigmentation and/or acne scarring is so satisfying. My go-to cosmetic treatment for this is a PRP Vampire Facial. 

What's your favourite beauty treatment to have done with Brazilian Beauty?

Dermaplaning! I love how smooth and radiant it leaves my skin. I couldn't recommend it enough, particularly before a big event - your make-up will melt into your skin flawlessly.

What advice would you give someone thinking about having cosmetic injections for the first time?

What’s the one piece of skin advice you wish all of your clients would follow?

Always wear sunscreen. I see a lot of premature ageing caused by sun damage. Get into the habit of wearing sunscreen every day. Your future self will thank you for it, trust me. 

Is there anything you think a lot of people don't realise about cosmetic injections that you would like them to know?

Having a cosmetic injectable treatment doesn’t mean you have to change your entire look. The best injectable treatments are often the ones you don't notice. I love educating my clients on the process and working on subtle enhancements that leave your friends saying,

'gosh you look good!' 

But they can't quite put their finger on what you've done.
