Our signature method ensures maximum comfort and results for our clients.
We will apply support while waxing and use a cold compress to minimise any discomfort. Products specific to your Brazilian Waxing post-care will be recommended that will soothe and protect the area after waxing. We also have products available that can retard and thin hair growth for greater waxing comfort on your next visit. A calming, soothing post wax treatment will be applied to the area to ensure ultimate comfort. For a more permanent hair reduction, we suggest that you look into our IPL Hair Reduction treatments.

Pre-treatment Advice
Do not shave the area for three weeks before your appointment
Best results are achieved when the hair in the area is at least 0.5cm long
Avoid sun exposure at least two days before your appointment
Perform a light exfoliation on the area using an antibacterial cleansing gel and exfoliation mitt prior to the wax for maximum results
Post-treatment Advice
Exfoliate with an exfoliating mitt will help to prevent ingrown hairs. Exfoliate 3 days after the wax and then every 2 days thereafter.
Apply a powerful after-wax lotion to the area immediately after waxing to eliminate potential infection, irritation and the chance of ingrown hairs.
Avoid excessive exercise for 24 hours after your wax to minimise irritation. Shower immediately after exercise and use an antibacterial cleansing gel to clear your follicles of perspiration which can carry bacteria.
Wear pure cotton or no underwear at night to allow the area to breathe. The optimum time between waxing appointments is 4 weeks. This allows the hair to grow to the correct length, but prevents the hair from becoming too embedded in the follicle thus reducing discomfort and optimising results. Don’t shave between waxing appointments as this distorts the hair growth cycle.
Which areas are waxed during a Brazilian wax?
Our Signature Brazilian Wax is a complete hair removal treatment encompassing the entire area, front and back. During your consultation you can request hair to be left or removed.
Is a Brazilian wax painful?
We use signature techniques and support methods to reduce any discomfort including the use of a cold compress, to soothe and calm the Brazilian area directly after the treatment. You will experience more discomfort on the first treatment as the hairs are embedded in the hair follicle. We recommend a treatment every 4 weeks, maintaining the hair in a regular growth cycle which ensures less discomfort and a smoother, longer lasting, hair-free result.
How long does a Brazilian wax last?
For superior results, we recommend regular treatments every 4 weeks. If you would like a more permanent hair removal solution we recommend an IPL hair removal consultation.
Will I get ingrown hairs after my Brazilian wax?
Ingrown hairs are a possibility if the area is not properly cared for. Exfoliating as directed after your treatment and applying a product designed to soothe, protect and prevent ingrown hairs will ensure you avoid ingrown hairs.
Will I be uncomfortable following my Brazilian wax treatment?
No, your discomfort will be kept to an absolute minimum and you will have no problem returning to your normal daily routine immediately.
Will a first time Brazilian wax hurt more?
A first time Brazilian wax can be a little uncomfortable due to the hair being embedded in the follicle. To maximise results, keep your hair in the right growth cycle and minimise any discomfort, we recommend visiting us every 4 weeks.
How long does a Brazilian wax take?
A Brazilian waxing treatment can range from 20 to 30 minutes depending on hair growth and type. However, we will take as much time that is needed to achieve the very best result for you.
Is there anything I need to be aware of prior to my Brazilian wax?
We recommend avoiding sun exposure causing sunburn prior to any waxing treatment and that the hair is approximately 1cm in length.
Will the area go red and bumpy after a Brazilian wax?
After the application of wax there may be slight redness following the treatment. The redness will only be noticeable for a short time. We always apply a post-wax soothing product to minimise any redness and sensitivity that has occurred. You may feel like there are very small bumps on the area, this is the open inflamed follicle and will only be there for a short time. We recommend products and potential issues to avoid and how to prevent and treat any ingrown hairs.
Will the hair grow back faster or thicker after a Brazilian wax?
In the majority of cases Brazilian waxing can reduce the amount of hair growth in the pubic area and the hair, with regular waxing treatments, will become finer and sparser. However, in some cases re-emerging pubic hair growth can be caused by hormones and therefore may grow back thicker or darker if there are any hormone imbalances.
How often should I have a Brazilian wax?
Once you have had your initial Brazilian wax treatment we recommend visiting the salon every 4 weeks for maintenance treatments to keep your Brazilian area looking gorgeous! Regular waxing will cause your hair to grow in the same cycle, ensuring that you get the smoothest, hair free results for longer.
Can I pluck or shave between Brazilian waxing treatments?
Plucking and shaving is a big NO if you are opting for professional Brazilian waxing. By plucking or shaving in between treatments you can create an irregular hair growth cycle. It’s best to keep hairs in the same growth cycle for a smooth, hair-free result that will last longer.
What kind of wax is used on a Brazilian wax?
Depending on your skin, hair type and age we will select the correct wax and technique for your individual needs. We use a combination of superior wax, both hot and strip wax that has been specifically designed for Brazilian Beauty and our signature Brazilian waxing treatment.
Is any tweezing involved?
To get a perfect hair-free result tweezing may be performed. You can inform us prior to your treatment if you do not wish to have tweezing.
I have sensitive skin; will the waxing irritate my skin?
During your consultation we will determine your skin type. If you have very sensitive skin we will take extra care when waxing and ensure the correct calming product for your skin type is applied directly after your Brazilian waxing treatment.
I have heard of people getting folliculitis from waxing, how can I prevent this?
Folliculitis is an inflammation or infection of the hair follicles which results in redness, bumpiness or little pimples. Bacteria enter the open follicles causing folliculitis. To minimise folliculitis occurring you should not touch the area after it has been waxed and avoid excessive sweating 24 hours after waxing. Please read our Treatment Advice section for more advice on what to do after your treatment.
What are the different types of Brazilian waxing or bikini waxing?
We offer a number of different waxes – Brazilian, G-string and Bikini. So whether you want to remove all hair from the area, leave a landing strip or just remove from the bikini area we can help. If you’re not sure which would be best for you please talk to us on the day of your appointment and we will be happy to explain all of the options in detail.
How long does my hair need to be to have a Brazilian wax?
We recommend that all hair in the area is at least 0.5cm in length to obtain the best results.
