Everything you should know before getting Lip Filler | 2022

What is Lip Filler?

Dermal Fillers are made with non-animal derived hyaluronic acid (HA), a gel-like substance naturally found in the body and essential for maintaining skin firmness and elasticity, as well as helping to keep the skin hydrated.

Through tiny injections, we use this Hyaluronic acid-based gel to:

  •  Add volume and structure to the lip area
  •  Address asymmetry
  •  Create fuller-looking lips

Who is Lip Filler suitable for?

Anyone, that's the great thing about Lip Filler - your Nurse will customise the treatment to correct your concerns and enhance your natural features. Whether it's concerns of dehydration, lack of fullness or correcting the shape, Lip Filler offers a beautiful, versatile and long-lasting result.

Are there any risks involved with Lip Filler?

As with any medical treatment, there are some risks involved. Our Registered Nursing team undergo extensive training on managing any risks associated with Lip Filler. At the time of your consultation, our team will thoroughly explain any risks associated with your Lip Filler treatment to ensure that you are well-informed before beginning your treatment.

What to expect on the day of your Lip Filler treatment

One of our experienced Registered Nurses will complete a thorough complimentary consultation with you. During this time, you will discuss any areas of concern and be educated on various beneficial treatments that suit your lifestyle, budget and desired outcome.

From here, our team will create a unique treatment plan to give you long-lasting, stunning results.

You can go ahead with the Lip Filler treatment on the day or take the information home and book in for your Lip Filler treatment when you're ready - there's absolutely no pressure. Our team is here to educate and help you become your most confident self.

Is Lip Filler painful?

Our team of experienced Registered Nurses are trained to be highly efficient to minimise pain and maintain maximum client comfort. As Lip Filler is an injectable treatment, some discomfort is to be expected.

Depending on your pain threshold, each person's experience can vary. If you're feeling nervous about the potential discomfort, we can arrange for a topical numbing cream to be used at the beginning of your treatment to minimise pain.

We have yet to have a client express that the discomfort they experienced wasn't worth the beautiful results they achieved.

Is there any downtime after a Lip Filler treatment?

Some swelling and bruising can be expected after your Lip Filler treatment - this varies from person to person. If this is a concern, we recommend taking 1-2 days off work while the swelling subsides.

Your Registered Nurse will educate you on what to expect after your injectable treatment and how to care of the area to ensure you get the best results.

How long does Lip Filler last?

The longevity of Lip Filler will vary from person to person, depending on their body's metabolism. We commonly see results lasting between six to twelve months, but everyone is different.
