The Jessner Peel is an effective, medium-depth chemical peel that is suitable for all skin types. This treatment targets and is most effective for those with acne, thick skin and skin discolouration, moderate wrinkles and oily skin types.

The Jessner peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol that exfoliates the skin and penetrates deeper into the skin’s layers as to remove the top layers of the skin to encourage new, younger looking skin to grow.

It is important not to use anything overly active that may irritate your skin.
Your professional Skin Therapist will discuss the correct home care products to use for best results.

Keep your skin cool and calm!

After the peel, your skin may continue to burn or sting for 20 minutes or more.
Your skin will be red, swollen, and tight for the first 24 hours.
Do not apply additional products to the skin for 8 hours post-treatment.
Do not wet your skin for 12 hours after treatment.
Leave the occlusive balm your Therapist has applied on your skin for the next 12 hours after the treatment.
Only use mineral makeup immediately after treatment.
After that, the swelling will go down and your skin will begin peeling.

  Don’t pick at your skin

Avoid picking or peeling the skin.
No BHA or AHA until peeling subsides, usually 7 to 10 days.

  Use sun protection!

No sun exposure for 48 hours.
A Jessner Peel Treatment removes dead skin, revealing the soft, new skin underneath. This new skin is particularly susceptible to the harmful rays of the sun. For sun safety and protection, apply your SPF 50+ sunscreen and wear a hat when outside.
