5 tips for better Eyelash extensions results

The secret to maintaining beautiful, natural-looking eyelash extensions after your appointment comes down to your post-treatment plan of attack.
Long, thick lashes are one of the quickest and easiest ways to boost your self-confidence and feel more beautiful, but extensions won't do you much good if you aren't dedicated to caring for them properly!

Avoid water for 24 hours after a session

After your extensions have been applied and you’re looking gorgeous, stay away from water and steam until 24 hours have passed!
During this period, the glue is still setting, and if your lashes are disturbed or exposed to water, they could fall out early.
You can still shower, just make sure you don’t put your head under the water and whatever you do, don’t rub your eyes!

Refill every two to three weeks

No matter how careful you are with your eyelash extensions, you will naturally lose them over time due to your lash cycle. To make those extensions last longer, go back to the salon every 2-3 weeks for an infill.
The longer you wait for a fill, the harder it is for your lash stylist to keep your lashes looking full and fabulous.  If you go too long without getting a lash refill, a full new set may be required.
So maintaining your refills is a good idea in more ways than one!

Don't touch, pull, pluck, or rub your lashes

If an extension looks out of place, avoid playing with it or twisting or pulling it off, you'll risk losing your natural lashes.
Let them come out on their own, and use a spoolie to brush them back into place in the meantime.

    Brush your lashes

Using a mascara wand, brush your eyelashes morning and night to keep them in the right place and looking pristine.

    Use oil-free cleansing products

When taking off your make-up or cleansing your eyes, use oil-free products, as the oil can affect the bonds of your eyelash extensions.
Apply your makeup remover to a clean brush and gently wash in a downward motion over the eyelid and lash-line. Rinse with fresh water until all product is removed.

Top tip: Never rub back and forth as this will be too abrasive on the lash extensions.
