Pre-treatment Advice
Ensure hair is washed and cleaned before the Hair Rejuvenation treatment. The morning of or night before treatment is favoured.
Post-treatment Advice
- Do not apply any active ingredients to the scalp 24 hours post treatment
- Do not wash hair for 24 hour post treatment
- Avoid products containing fragrance and irritants

What is the difference between Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Dermal Pen Hair Rejuvenation treatments?
PRP is blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets (also known as thrombocytes).
PRP therapy helps to accelerate and promote the body ‘s natural healing and rejuvenation process without subjecting patients to significant risk.
The philosophy is to merge cutting edge technology with the body’s natural ability to heal. PRP technology was initially developed 20 years ago to aid with wound healing and blood loss. Now it is being used successfully across a wide range of applications such as skin rejuvenation, hair loss treatment, sports injuries, wound care and gynaecology.
Dermal Pen Hair Rejuvenation activates the body’s natural wound healing response and this response can be utilised to reverse Androgenetic Alopecia.
The Needling action re-activates the pathways in the hair follicle, activates a release of growth factors and stimulates the Stem Cells. The combination of these three actions help to strengthen the hair follicle to support thicker, terminal hair.
How does PRP work?
Blood is taken directly from the patient in a procedure similar to a blood test. The patented tube is then centrifuged, which separates the red blood cells from PRP using a special gel.
The PRP is then directly injected into the focus area to support and help accelerate the process of tissue regeneration and repair. PRP contains fundamental growth factors, which are activated by the platelets which help initiate the tissue regeneration process.
For example, when you cut yourself, the body’s natural response is to attract platelets that release growth factors and facilitate healing. By concentrating the platelets we increase the release of growth factors.
How many treatments will I need?
PRP Hair Rejuvenation
This may vary depending on hair condition and your expectations. 3 x treatments 4-6 weeks apart is normal. Once you are happy with the results you may maintain the result with top-up treatments every 6- 12 months.
Dermal Pen Hair Rejuvenation
For best results, client’s will need to do a combination of in clinic professional and at home treatments. Treatments must be rebooked every 4 weeks and a course of 6 – 8 sessions is recommended.
The homecare 0.25mm Dermal Roller device will need to be used twice weekly to improve growth factor release and accelerate results.
