WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash Extensions are light-weight, synthetic fibres that are individually bonded onto your natural eyelashes with specially formulated and semi-permanent bonding adhesive.
Available in a variety of thicknesses, lengths, curls, and groupings; extensions will remain bonded to your eyelashes and shed as your lashes move through their natural growth cycle – generally 4-6 weeks.
Our team of skilled lash artists have all received extensive training in the safe and hygienic application of eyelash extensions and will individually customise your extensions to achieve your desired style. Once completed, your new set of eyelash extensions will not add any detectable weight to your own lashes, so you can enjoy a completely natural look and feel.
INDIVIDUAL, HYBRID OR VOLUME – WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
During your initial consultation, your lash artist will discuss the different lash extension options available to you and suggest the perfect length, thickness and style to suit your natural eye shape and facial features.
As well as choosing the best length and thickness for your extensions, there are three basic application styles to choose from:
Individual Classic Lashes are the most natural looking and lightweight option. They won’t add much volume but will add length, curl and definition. The perfect choice for those with naturally fine and wispy lashes, mature clients with delicate eyes or for those simply wanting the most natural look possible.
Individual Classic Lashes will open up and define the eye area, helping you look made-up and ready to go from the moment you wake up.
Hybrid Lashes offer the best of both worlds, giving length and volume without the super dramatic look given by full volume lash extensions. By far the most popular style of choice, a Hybrid set of lash extensions is created by using a mix of both Individual Classic Lashes and Volume Lashes to give that wispy, textured lash look often seen on many celebrities.
Volume Lashes will definitely give your natural lashes, next level dimension and drama! Dark, thick and fluffy, volume lashes are created with pre-made groupings of multiple extensions known as ‘fans’ and are available from 3D – 8D. The number indicates how many lash extensions are in the fan – 3D being 3 extension, 5D being 5 extensions and 8D being 8 extensions… each fan individually grafted onto one of your eyelashes, creating intense length and volume.
During your procedure, your lash artist will apply as many eyelash extensions as possible based on the number of natural lashes you have to work with and their capacity to support the lash extension without causing damage to that natural lash.
HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?
There are several factors that come into play when it comes to how long eyelash extensions last. In general, most eyelash extensions will look great for up to 4 weeks. However, how well you look after them combined with your lash’s natural growth cycle will determine how often you will need to have them ‘refilled’.
Your natural lash falls out and is replaced by a new lash about every 45-60 days, but luckily we don’t lose all our lashes at once. Each one has its own cycle, so having a lash extension refill every three weeks will replace the extensions that have fallen out along with your natural lash – helping to keep your lashes looking uniformly, full and fluffy.
HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS.
Once your eyelash extension procedure is complete, your lash artist will explain how to care for your beautiful new lashes at home and in between visits. You’ll get a take home aftercare guide so that you don’t forget any important requirements.
Washing your lash extensions using a specially formulated Lash Cleanser will not only help to keep your lashes clean and healthy but will also help with retention by preserving the bonding glue that holds your lash extensions in place.
Brushing your lashes on the daily will also help keep your lashes looking neat, full and fluffy. Your lash artist will give you a take home eyelash spooly brush, so you can keep your extensions looking their absolute best.
Try to avoid heavy eye make-up and DO NOT apply mascara to your eyelash extensions. Your gorgeous new lashes will define and enhance your eyes all on their own… so keep your make-up simple and fresh.
Don’t pull at your extensions. Be mindful when washing your face and removing make-up that you don’t tug at your lashes in the process. The less you rub your eyes or pull at your extensions, the longer they’ll last.
Keep them dry for a minimum of 24-48 hours after application. Hot water, steam and a sweaty work out at the gym can interfere with the bonding glue’s curing process, which can take up to 48 hours to complete.
Pre-treatment Advice
- If you wear contact lenses it is best to remove them prior to your treatment; once your treatment is completed your contact lenses can be immediately put back in.

- For an even better result and for dark natural looking lashes, add an eyelash tint to your appointment.
