Vita A Peel
Reclaim your glow with our advanced Vita A Peel designed to reduce pigmentation and skin discolourations while improving the overall condition of your skin.
WHAT IS A VITA A PEEL?
A retinoic acid peel formulated with active Tretinoin, the Vita A Peel works on fading pigmentation, age spots and other pigment disorders by not only removing accumulated pigmentation on the skin’s surface, but also inhibiting the over-production of melanin at a cellular level, giving you both immediate and long-lasting results.
The ASI Vita A peel is also a fast-acting treatment for Acne, working on blocked and congested pores while effectively fading post-inflammatory scarring.
Best of all, Vita A Peel’s advanced formulation will improve the overall condition of the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin formation and speeding up the skin’s natural metabolism to produce a healthy and more vibrant complexion.
BENEFITS OF TRETINOIN
Tretinoin is the fastest absorbing, most potent form of vitamin A, and through extensive testing, has been shown to offer amazing benefits in treating skin ageing and acne as well as alleviating a number of skin conditions such as rosacea and psoriasis. Studies have shown that Tretinoin will effectively:
- Speeds up the skin metabolism by sweeping away the buildup of dead cells that cause dullness
- Inhibits the transfer of melanin throughout the skin to prevent hyperpigmentation and age spots.
- Restores and rebuilds a sensitive skin
- Decreases the oil production that feeds the p-bacteria that causes acne – reducing blackheads and congestion
- Increases the rate of wound healing to help with scarring
- Clinically proven to reverse signs of ageing by stimulating collagen and elastin production and boosting hydration levels
HOW IS VITA A PEEL DIFFERENT TO OTHER SKIN PEELS?
The ASI Vita A peel is not like our other traditional peel treatments. The potent formulation is a step-up from standard peels and will deliver fast and active results on your skin but, comes with a little downtime.
The Vita A Peel treatment consists of a single session at your Brazilian Beauty clinic, during which your Skin Therapist will apply the active Vita A Peel mask to your skin. This mask must be left to work on your skin for 6-10 hours, depending on your skin’s phototype and sensitivity. At home, once the prescribed time has elapsed, you will be able to simply remove the mask yourself with a gentle cleanser.
While you will experience the usual tingling and redness that comes with most peels, following the Vita A Peel you will also experience light to moderate peeling, flaking and possibly a little soreness. Peeling usually begins on day three and again on day five following the peel, after which time you will see a noticeably clearer and brighter complexion.
CAN ALL SKINS HAVE A VITA A PEEL?
The Vita A Peel is best for people concerned with blocked, congested, dull and sun-damaged skin, acne and pigmentation, or for those who simply want to feel fresh and rejuvenated.
While the Vita A Peel can be performed on all skin colours, ethnicities and skin types, it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women nor for anyone with an allergy to medicines with tretinoin, isotretinoin/vitamin A.
Depending on your skin type, concern and the severity of the issue needing to be addressed, a course of 3-6 peels might be recommended by your Skin Therapist.

No skin exfoliation 3-5 days prior to treatment
No direct sun exposure for 5-7 days prior to treatment
POST TREATMENT ADVICE
The Vitamin A Peel has minimal disruption to your daily activities.
After removing the peel, your skin will appear to have a yellow glow-like appearance, this is due to the natural colour of the retinoic acid.
Different levels of exfoliation may occur from very mild to quite obvious flaking.
This usually begins on day three and again on day five following the peel.
No direct sun exposure throughout the peeling phase and always wear an SPF to protect your skin and your result.
